EVA@HOME is Open for Enrollment!
We have grown our educational pathways and now offer both traditional Evergreen Virtual Academy, with live teacher instruction, as well as EVA@Home, a model for homeschool minded families with guardian supported learning.
EVA@Home is available to Kinder-8th grade students and requires a guardian available throughout the day to support curriculum instruction. EVA@Home does NOT include live instruction or Engagement Coach support. To enroll or maintain enrollment in this pathway, students should be able to access grade level content with guardian support. The curriculum focuses on priority standards to allow families to have more flexible options throughout their day.
EVA@Home students must demonstrate attendance by logging in, completing assignments and completion of weekly activity survey. Annual proficiency on standards must be met to remain in the program. Students are required to participate in state testing or formally opt out.
Families will have an opportunity to build community by attending in-person event offerings with Evergreen Virtual Academy. see our Activities Corner for current offerings!

Evergreen Virtual Academy has created a high quality online program accessible to select school districts across the state of Oregon. This includes Oregon standard aligned curriculum with state certified teachers for live instruction and support & options for a technology package. Students attending @Evergreen remain part of the district count for state reporting and funding. In this pathway, @Evergreen becomes a contracted service provider to the local district.

GED@EVA is Now Open for Enrollment!
GED Preparation Pathway
Evergreen Virtual Academy offers a tuition free, fully online independent study pathway to a General Education Development (GED) credential. A GED credential is considered equivalent to a high school diploma. Students must pass a core battery of tests in each of the subject areas listed below with a score of 145 or higher on each test:
- Mathematical Reasoning
- Reasoning Through Language Arts
- Science
- Social Studies
GED Approval Process:
- Approval into the GED program by an administrator is required. Approval process will include these factors:
- At least 16 years of age, not to exceed 21 years of age (students new to EVA cannot exceed 20 years of age upon enrollment)
- At least one grade level behind their cohort in credits, or have an extenuating circumstance (i.e. housing instability, economic hardship, medical treatment)
- At minimum 8th grade reading level, measured on school approved assessment
- Skilled in Algebra/Geometry or above
- Formal approval meeting/documentation will be provided (August-May) after considering age, credit deficiency, academic readiness, social-emotional needs, attendance history, and post-secondary goals
GED Program Overview:
- Students will be enrolled in virtual independent study GED prep courses with teacher oversight and support
- Students will participate in the development of their personalized learning plan through participation with their counselor and high school success courses utilizing the Oregon CIS program.
- Students will earn credit toward their high school diploma for completing and passing the GED exams
- Once accepted into the program, students are expected to complete the GED program within one calendar. Exceptions may be granted in extenuating circumstances
- To take the GED exams, students will be required to obtain a government issued form of ID
- GED exams will take place at an in person testing center closest to where the student resides
- Reliable internet connection and a computer/laptop are required. Evergreen Virtual Academy can provide this.
- Regular attendance is required to meet the demands of our fast-paced curriculum.
- Consistent participation in our virtual sessions is critical to staying on track and mastering the material.
- Students will undergo periodic assessments to measure their readiness. Once prepared, they will take the official GED subject tests to earn their credentials.
The GED Program at EVA is a good fit for students who:
- Meet the age and credit requirements
- Have academic skills close to grade level (modifications are not supported on the GED exam)
- Independently read at or above the 8th grade level
- Can demonstrate knowledge in Algebra/Geometry or above
- Can grasp content in an online and independent study format
- Are self-directed and require minimal adult support
